Thank you John and Angies for a well done presentation on Cabernet Sauvignon
Wines. We all learned that Cabernet Sauvignon is not very high yielding,
but produces wine ideal for long term cellaring and offers rich tannins
and
complex aromas. Indeed, there were many aromas present in these wines not associated with fruit. Smokiness, coffee, leather, tobacco, even mint or licorice.
I personally was very happy with the four wines selected and the variety they offered. Wines from Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, Columbia Valley, WA and Bordeaux (Graves) France gave an interesting comparison of Cabernets from different appellations. The French wine was from the 2005 vintage, which Robert Parker called the ":Greatest Bordeaux vintage of my 30 year career."

With Angie rating this wine a 93, you know what to buy them.
Rather interesting that John M. gave the French wine the lowest score...
Highest overall scorer was Zelma, just eking out John O., who we know is a Cab guy.
Lowest score given: Eric, 74,
Alexander Valley
Lowest overall scorers were none other than Al & Sue, which is a bit deceiving because their average score was 84, which isn't really that bad at all.
